Q - What is BEST?
A - BEST is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization whose mission is to inspire students to pursue careers in engineering, science, and technology through participation in a sports-like, science and engineering-based robotics competition.

Q - What are the two parts of BEST?
A - The first part is the robotics game, which is based upon an annual theme with four teams competing at once in a series of three-minute, round-robin matches.
The second part of the competition is The BEST Award, which is presented to the team that best embodies the concept of Boosting Engineering, Science, and Technology. Elements include a project summary notebook, oral presentation, table display, and spirit and sportsmanship.

Q - What do you do?
A - We do exactly what it sounds like we do: we build robots. Well, we build a robot in 6 weeks, using a limited amount of supplies. There is an annual theme that supplies the actions the robot must be able to do. Other then that, we keep a notebook of diagrams, mathematical equations, and the sort.

Q - Who can join BEST?
Anyone can join! :)

Q - Does it cost anything to join?
No, you don't have to pay to join. However, you'll need to buy a t-shirt. Other than that, just bring your ideas and imagination, and you're good to go!
